Arthur Verona - Cosasii

Arthur started his career as a painter at the workshop of his brother Nicolae Henri Verona. In 1898, Verona attended the Salon, where he exhibited some of his works. The painter organized his first personal exhibition in 1902. It wasn't until 1903, when the painter focused on the impressionist style. At the same time Verona concentrated on monumental painting and studied fresco painting techniques. Verona established Free Art Academy in 1919. Two years later, in 1921, the painter organized a large personal exhibition. Four years later, Verona was appointed a jury member at the Venice Biennale. The year 1935 brought the misfortune to him — the painter's workshop was destroyed by fire for the second time, along with over 100 works.
