Baton Rouge, LA, October 8, 2005 - Thomas Hayes was teaching in New Orleans for the Teach For America organization when Hurricane Katrina devastated the area. Now that schools are closed, Hayes is training and working at a Disaster Recovery Center helping other displaced victims, such as himself, get through the application process for recovery aid.
