Prince William Sound, AK (Mar. 28)--The "Lucky Lady," one of the hundreds of vessels assisting in the cleanup of crude spilled by the tanker Exxon Valdez. The Exxon Valdez ran aground on Bligh Reef in Prince William Sound, Alaska, March 23, 1989 spilling 11 million gallons of crude oil, which resulted in the largest oil spill in U.S. history.
