Fenced Field near Fort Vancouver

Fort Vancouver. Several fields around the fort that would have been cultivated fields during the HBC era have been delineated by fences. The park limits mowing in order to allow vegetation to grow to several feet. Although the fields are not planted with crops or maintained as agricultural fields, the tall vegetation and fences help to convey the historic agricultural setting.
