Home owners now saving $5000,000,000 a year, Monopoly Committee told. Washington, D.C., July 14. John H. Fahey, Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board today estimated before the Federal Monopoly Committee that home owners are saving $500,000,000 a year as a result of the reduction in interest rates brought about by government activities since 1932. He added it is extremely doubtful if much more can be saved in this direction which will contribute to progressive housing development in the near future
