Identified! WW1 hospital at Parc Wern (now Parc Beck), Swansea
Summary
During the Great War many stately houses were taken over as hospitals for injured soldiers (as the TV series Downton Abbey has shown), although it has to be said that the guys here look fit as a fiddle! (see comments - it has been suggested that they are probably medical staff)..This is an image from the Miss Ripley album, and I suspect she may be one of the nurses shown - find out more here 7215762769463... ( 72157627694631371/with/6212079473/ ) ...This image contained no clues whatsoever as to the location. But a newspaper cutting in the album mentioned Miss Ripley working at Parc Wern hospital, Swansea, and once this was located via Google Maps, and a modern day image found on Flickr, the location was identified.
