Summary
A guest signs a 100th year birthday banner for John William Finn at La Posta Inn June 28, 2009, during a celebration of Finn's 100th birthday. Finn received the Medal of Honor by Adm. Chester Nimitz in September 1942 for his heroism during the attack of Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. Finn manned a .50-caliber machine gun during the first attacks by Japanese aircraft as they flew over Kaneohe Bay. Finn continued to attack enemy plains despite being hit five times by strafing fire.
