Devils Tower national monument - Jump-yip
Summary
Prairie dogs have a very sophisticated communication system. One iconic call is the "jump yip," which some researchers believe serves as an "all clear" signal. The behavior involves throwing their front paws into the air, tilting their head back and releasing a distinctive squeaky bark. The behavior is often repeated by other prairie dogs nearby.
