Summary
Samuel Joseph May writes to Mary Anne Estlin in regards to the current state of affairs in the U.S. as a result of the Civil War. He writes that people were not prepared to take up the antislavery cause but his church did. He writes that it's impossible to tell what course will be taken in relation to the South. He writes that Mr. Garrison is still quite unwell.
