Mattole Road Blocked 011816 Ferndale Police Photo - A road that has been blocked off by mud

January 18, 2016 The Ferndale Police Department wrote on their Facebook page:
The “The Wildcat” or Mattole Rd has been closed by CHP due to a non-passable Mud Slide approximately one mile from Ferndale. An alternative route to Petrolia or surrounding [areas] would be Monument Rd in Rio Dell. Be aware of your surroundings and if you see a roadway hazard, contact CHP or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department.
