Queens, N.Y., Nov. 15, 2012 -- The Russian airmobile insignia of Alexander Romanov, Director of Federal-State Russian Airmobile Rescue Service, Moscow, who toured FEMA's DR-4085 Joint Field Office in New York. Following Hurricane Sandy, FEMA coordinates its work in New York at the JFO in Queens and supported state, local, tribal and volunteer agencies in their disaster response activities. FEMA welcomes the cooperation and assistance of international experts such as the Russian Airmobile Rescue Service who are familiar with disaster response techniques needed to assist communities in need of relief.
