This testvjas made using an alternatin:; current of 36 cyclesin the plate circuit. The filament was heated bydirect current supplied by storage batteries. It was found that although the bulb recti-fied as good as a regular Kenotron, the directcurrent voltage was toe low to be of any valuefor the purpose in mind. This was because thebulb, although able to stand a fairly hiyh voltage
