Summary

U.S. Air Force mentors, from a multitude of career fields, work with members of the Afghan national army air corp, on July 25, at Kabul International Airport Afghanistan. The Air Force members are assigned to the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan which is headquartered on Camp Eggers in Kabul, Afghanistan. CSTC-A partners with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the international community, to plan, program, and implement structural, organizational, institutional and management reforms of the Afghanistan national security forces. The 500+ military members assigned to CSTC-A provide mentorship and training to the Afghan national army and to the Afghan national police in order to develop a stable Afghanistan, strengthen the rule of law and deter and defeat terrorism within its borders.
