Summary
Description: (October 1, 1958) On the day that NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) became NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), William H. Dana reported to work as an engineer at the High-Speed Flight Station as the first NASA employee at the Center. He transferred to the pilot's office less than a year later and would go on to fly lifting bodies and the X-15, to name a few of the projects for which he was a pilot.
