Oliveira, who is cashier of First National Bank of San Leandro, were born in the United States. The Portuguese people have become important in the dairying business throughout the entire state of California and now control at least seventy percent of the dairy business of the state. Mr. Oliveira milks about seventy cows daily. "Our favorite stories when I was a child were those which my father and mother told us about their homeland of Portugal.
