Ceremonies and Parades - Americans baptized before going to the firing lines. One of the most unusual ceremonies before the American fighters get to the firing lines is the baptizing of the men who have not been baptized before. In this French village square this American section, trained and ready for the trenches, held the different religious ceremonies. About thirty were baptized in the open. Then the auto carrying the altar disappeared and the division headed by its band passed the Commanding General in review and continued on the way to the front. The soldiers are wearing the New Overseas cap
