During some of the first daytime air strikes on Afghanistan, STAFF Sergeant Brian Holbrook, a boom operator with the 319th Air Expeditionary Group, lowers the boom for an approaching USMC F/A-18C Hornet, from the "Mighty Shrikes" (VFA-94), during an aerial refueling mission. The Hornet is from the carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The 319th AEG is deployed to a classified location to provide air-to-air refueling in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
