CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- NASA's Kennedy Space Center and Brevard Workforce host a job fair in Kennedy's Operations Support Building II and Space Station Processing Facility to help center employees with future planning and placement as the Space Shuttle Program comes to an end. Recruiters included federal, state and local government agencies and organizations, as well as private companies from across the country.     The second part of the job fair is scheduled for Sept. 16 at a hotel in Cape Canaveral, Fla. A workforce of over 300 Iraqi personnel are involved in the $4.1 million complete renovation of an apartment building in the International Zone, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Gulf Region Central District, on July 8, 2005. U.S. Army and government officials will occupy the ground floor of the 7-story Al Hayat structure in the International (Green Zone) in Baghdad, Iraq, which will feature 42 apartments from 2 to 4 bedrooms each. The 150-day contract was awarded June 8, 2005. The contractor is installing elevators, new kitchen cabinets, appliances, complete plumbing fixtures, and furniture.
