StaatLibQld 2 139439 Aborigine-Farm oder Außenstation in Mapoon, 1914 Das Dach des Hauses besteht aus Rinde, höchstwahrscheinlich vom Messmate-Baum (Eucalyptus tetradonta). Vor dem Haus ist ein Garten angelegt. Laut dem Mapoon Mission Visitor's Book (im Besitz der Cape York Collection, Weipa) besuchte der Innenminister von Queensland, John George Appel (1859 - 1929), Mapoon am 28. Mai 1914. Er besuchte mit einer großen Gruppe, darunter seine Frau Ruth, James Allan MLA und seine Frau, J. W. Bleakley (Chief Protector of Aboriginals), John A. Crockett, J. W. und Louisa Davidson, William, Irene und Louise Gall, W. M. Lee-Bryce, Mrs. J. May, J. Mulcahy, Yves und Jean Tolmie.
