Significance: This factory is part of a large complex on East Milwaukee. Detroit White Lead Works began construction of a one-story factory in 1908, followed by numerous expansions. The company produced insecticides, soaps, red and white leads, and paint, which they supplied to automobile manufacturers. Various companies ranging from furniture makers to automotive parts manufacturers shared the complex with Detroit White Lead Works.
