TOWNSHEND ISLAND, Australia (Jul. 13, 2017) A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicle assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7 lands on the beach as part of a large-scale amphibious assault during Talisman Saber 2017. The LCAC, launched from the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), enabled movement of 31st MEU forces and equipment ashore in order for the MEU to complete mission objectives in tandem with Australian counterparts.
