A local Afghan worker shovels dirt as part of construction of the foundation for the Basulan School, here Feb. 13. Upon the completion of this school, there will be twelve active schools and almost 10,000 students in Nawa. Nawa District Governor Haji Abdul Manaf spoke to local residents during a brick laying ceremony, discussing the significance of the occasion and the importance of education to the future of the district.
