Afghan National Army soldiers with 6th Kandak, 1st Brigade, 215th Corps fire M16A2 rifles toward a notional enemy position during a platoon attack exercise at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Nov. 6, 2017. Approximately 350 soldiers with the unit are conducting an eight-week operational readiness cycle at the Helmand Regional Military Training Center. Led by ANA instructors with assistance from U.S. Marines assigned to Task Force Southwest, the course is designed to enhance the infantry skills of its students in preparation for future combat operations throughout the province.
