Bureau of Land Management Bureau of Land Management Alaska Fire Service specialist Matt Kilgriff shoots a stream of flaming gel from the Terra Torch to burn piles of brush and trees as part of a prescribed burn project in U.S. Army Alaska’s Donnelly Training Area near Fort Greely Nov. 4, 2016. The piles were created by U.S. Army Alaska hand crews working to remove dead and decaying vegetation and black spruce in an effort to reduce the chances of a wildfire on military lands.
