According to a September 26, 1915 Seattle Post-Intelligencer article: "Governor Lister will enter into the fun-making spirit of the day when he will be initiated into the Blackfoot tribe of Great Northern Indians. The governor will go through the prescribed ordeal of Indian rites and emerge a legally adopted red skin with the title of "Chief Eagle Tail Feathers.""
