NEWPORT, R.I. (Sep. 22, 2016) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Richardson shakes hands with Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work during the 22nd International Seapower Symposium (ISS) at U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. More than 180 senior officers and civilians from more than 110 countries including many of the senior-most officers from those countries' navies and coast guards, are attending the biennial event September 20-23. This year's theme is "Stronger Maritime Partners" and will feature guest speakers and panel discussions to explore the common security challenges of maritime nations.
