Summary
A service member shelves patient medical records at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., March 26, 2009. The Army National Guard has been a pioneer in the transition from paper files to electronic files through the use of self-designed medical readiness systems like Health Readiness Record and Medical Evaluation board Preparation. The Department of Defense based their electronic Case File Transfer system off of the Army Guard's MEB Prep system. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kasey Zickmund/Released)
