US COAST GUARD Hurricane Gustav
Summary
Coast Guard crews depart NASA's Stennis Space Center in Mississippi to return to New Orleans Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008.
The crews evacuated to safeguard assets and personnel from the destructive forces of Hurricane Gustav.
Coast Guard crewmembers will conduct assessments of waterways and facilities throughout the New Orleans area to help aid local, state and other federal officials.
