JOINT BASE CAPE COD, Mass. - Soldiers and airmen of the Massachusetts National Guard as well as state partners from the Paraguayans Air Forces participate in day one of the 2019 Best Warrior Competition being held on Camp Edwards, at Joint Base Cape Cod. Day one consisted of an Army Physical Fitness Test, qualifying on the M9 pistol, zeroing with the M4 carbine in preparation for day two's events, land navigation, and a board and exam to test their knowledge of warrior skills. Day two of the Massachusetts National Guard's Best Warrior Competition saw the competitors pushed through a seven-stop warrior tasks lane, followed by a stress shoot, a CBRN event, and evening land navigation course. Before the scores could be tallied, competitors of the Massachusetts National Guard's 2019 Best Warrior Competition were required to complete the final event, a 12-mile Ruck March along the range roads of Camp Edward. The competitors crossed the finish line surrounded by cheering leadership and supporters.
