Summary

Birds-eye view engraving shows map of the area around Hulst (Zeeland) in the Netherlands during the siege of 1645 under Prince Frederick Hendrick of Nassau, Prince of Orange. Includes plan from above of the star fort of Hulst. Identifies the locations of particular troops, their camps and their commanders surrounding the city. Also shows canals, dikes and bodies of water and the villages of Moerschans, Molen op de Klingh, St. Ianssteen and Miseri. Locations are identified in print are numbered 1-36 and are explained in key in lower left corner of the print.
