Marines, civilians and their families came out to participate in the second race in the commanding general's race series, the Freedom Run June 24. Some people ran the timed 5k for awards, while others walked the fun one mile race. "Its a good event the whole family can come to because its in the middle of the summer so everyones available and the venders are family friends," said Kelley Sitar, deputy Semper Fit director. There was everything for everybody. All ages 12 and under recieved a medal and everyone recieved a shirt.
