The national clothing of Mongols, deli (Mongol deel), is well adapted to the nomadic way of life and is a robe, the same for men and women. Deli is belted with a kushak of contrasting colors, sometimes up to 6-7 meters long. The sash significantly insulates the loin area, which in frequent riding, in low temperatures is very important to protect against radiculitis. Buttons for dalis were made of precious and semi-precious stones, gold and silver. Mongol headdresses were surprisingly diverse both in form and material: leather, fur (sheepskin, fox, tabargan), velvet and silk. Each ethnic group of Mongols had a special cut headdress.
