Pax River Holds ANZAC Day Ceremony

PATUXENT RIVER, Md. (April 25, 2016) - Members of the flag party stand at attention as Squadron Leader Lay, of the Royal Australian Air Force, lays a wreath in honor of the members of the Australian Defense Force at the ANZAC Day cemermony at NAS Patuxent River April 25. The ceremony served to honor the memory of the men who served in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) and landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915 during World War I, marking the first participation of ANZAC forces in an international conflict.
