Power pole shipments are loaded onto trucks at a pier in San Juan, Puerto Rico Jan. 8. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received 14,050 poles and 330 miles of conductor wire to date as part of the federal effort to repair the hurricane-damaged electrical power grid in support of the Government of Puerto Rico. Approximately 6,000 poles and 1,250 miles of conductor wire are slated to arrive in the next 14 days.
