Red foxes, Lake Clark National Park & Preserve, 2015.
Summary
The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) is the largest of the true foxes as well as the most abundant & widespread member of the order Carnivora. Its range has increased alongside human expansion and has even been introduced into new areas, like Australia, where it is considered harmful to native animal populations. They usually live in pairs or small groups of families. The young will remain with their parents and assist in caring for new kits.
