Summary

Seal of Sweden, depicting Saint Eric of Sweden holding the Three Crowns coat of arms in his left hand and a long staff with a two-tailed streamer in his right hand, surrounded by the text "Sanctus ericus svevorum gothorum rex Sigillum regni Svecie" – Saint Eric, king of Swedes and Geats Seal of the Swedish kingdom. The seal was in use 1439-1520, especcially during times when Sweden lacked a king.

Svenska: Sveriges rikssigill, den s.k. riksklämman, avbildar Erik den helige som håller vapenskölden tre kronor i sin vänstra handoch en lång stav med en tvåtungad vimpel i den högra handen, omgiven av texten "Sanctus ericus svevorum gothorum rex Sigillum regni Svecie" – Erik den helige, svears och götars konung Svearikets sigill. Sigillet var i bruk 1439-1520 och användes särskilt i tider när Sverige saknade kung.
