Riparian Woodland at Grant-Kohrs Ranch
Summary
The Riparian corridor is one of the component landscapes of the ranch. It is defined by the Clark Fork River that extends south-north through the property. The river corridor is part of the Milltown Reservoir/Clark Fork River Superfund site and contains high concentrations of metals due to upstream mining operations. The NPS is working closely with the EPA on
remediation measures, and the desired future condition includes containment clean up, floodplain restoration, stream bank reconstruction, and revegegation.
