Senior Airman Travis Moore, 350th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., maneuvers the boom of a KC-135 Stratotanker and makes contact with the receptacle of a C-17 Globemaster III from the 437th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston, S.C., Oct. 4, 2013, during a refueling mission over Kentucky. Moore is an Oklahoma City native and one of more than 130 boom operators assigned to the 22nd Air Refueling Wing.
