Description: STS-87 Mission Specialists Winston Scott (left) and Takao Doi (right) stand on the ends of the Spartan Multipurpose Payload Experiment Support Structure (MPESS) waiting for the Spartan satellite now over their heads to move within reach; view is framed by the aft flight deck window (032-33). Doi stands on the port sill and controls the Orbital Replacement Unit (ORU) Translation Device (OTD) (034-36). Scott (red stripes) and Doi work to unstow the ORU battery mock-up (037-38).
