The South Korean-flagged fishing vessel DONG WON (628) (foreground), is overtaken by the Royal Netherlands Navy, Destroyer, DE ZEVEN PROVINCIEN (FFG 802), while underway in the Indian Ocean approximately 60 nautical miles off the coast of Somalia. The DONG WON requested assistance via bridge-to-bridge communications, from coalition ships after it had been fired upon. Coalition Forces Ships assigned to Commander Task Force 150 (CTF-150), conducting Maritime Security Operation (MSO) in the area, responded at the request of the Combined Forces Maritime Component Commander (CFMCC), based in Bahrain.
