U.S. Airmen and Soldiers prepare to perform a joint

description

Summary

U.S. Airmen and Soldiers prepare to perform a joint inspection on two U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters at Ali al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, Aug. 9, 2019. Service members assigned to the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 8-229th Assault Helicopter Battalion inspect the Black Hawks to ensure they're airworthy to load onto U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The Black Hawks will then undergo transport to a location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Inspectors perform a number of functions including measuring and weighing the helicopter, thoroughly assessing the aircraft and unloading its cargo to ensure it meets the safety requirements for transport.
