US Army Reserve Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Charles Luckey explains the importance of readiness among the force while talking with Soldiers during Operation Cold Steel III at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., on February 13, 2019. Lt. Gen. Luckey encouraged the Soldiers to take what they learned during OCS III back to their units and teach other Soldiers. Operation Cold Steel III trains and qualifies Army Reserve Soldiers on M2 .50 caliber machine guns, M19 40 mm automatic grenade launchers and M240 7.62 mm machine guns weapons systems in ground and mounted military vehicles, in order to provide lethal and combat ready units ready to deploy anywhere in the world.
