Summary
U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Anthony Cone is a platoon leader with 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion participating in Khaan Quest 2018 at Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia. The mission of 3rd LEB is to conduct law and order operations in order to enhance the security environment and promote the rule of law in support of Marine Air Ground Task Force operations. Khaan Quest 2018 is a regularly scheduled, multinational exercise co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command and hosted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces. KQ18 is the latest in a continuing series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security. This year’s exercise marks the 16th anniversary of this training event.
