The aisles of the nave are faulted in thesame simple waj as the greater pari f the nave itself A very tasteless and discordant organ creen was removed momyears ago, and the present more appropriate one put up in its place,under which the choir is entered. The choir occupies the whole space nnder the tower, and itends to the two first columns of the nave eastward, and thereforeshuts out the transept. It is a magnificent and marvellous exampleof pure perpendicular character. The form of the vaulting, itselaborate tracery, the vast east window, bowed in its form, thepanelled walls, the monuments, the stalls, taken altogether, producean effect, unequalled, perhaps, by any other choir in England.The cast window fills up the whole eas
