Written by James Sheridan Muspratt (1821-1871), an Irish-born research chemist and son of James Muspratt (1793-1886), an infamous industrial chemical manufacturer in the UK between 1825 and 1850, Chemistry, Theoretical, Practical, and Analytical is regarded as Muspratt's magnum opus.
