Project Gemini war das zweite bemannte Raumfahrtprogramm der NASA, das 1961 zwischen den Projekten Mercury und Apollo begann und 1966 endete. Das Gemini-Raumschiff hatte eine Besatzung von zwei Astronauten an Bord. Zehn Besatzungen flogen zwischen 1965 und 1966 Missionen im niedrigen Erdorbit (LEO).
