121120-N-AS200-0129 HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan (Nov., 20, 2012) – Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, Task Force Anchor, encounter an improvised explosive device (IED) while convoying through the Helmand Province, Nov., 20 2012. Homeported in Gulfport, Ms., NMCB-133, is deployed to Afghanistan to support Task Force Empire, conducting general, mobility, survivability engineering operations, defensive operations, Afghan National Army partnering and detachment of units in combined/joint operations area - Afghanistan in order to enable the neutralization of the insurgency and support improved governance and stability.
