170405-N-WF272-0219 KIN BLUE BEACH, Okinawa (April 5, 2017) Marines, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), disembark a light armored vehicle (LAV) from landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 29, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, during a 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) offload from the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st MEU, is on a patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance warfighting readiness and posture forward as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
