171128-N-OW019-012 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 28, 2017) Marine Sgt. Craig Flint, a native of Sacramento, Calif., assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Command Element with the Law Enforcement detachment embarked aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), removes the plug from a fuse igniter during a timed fuse burn training exercise on the ship’s flight deck. Pearl Harbor is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
