180126-N-DC385-122 SASEBO, Japan (Jan. 26, 2018) Gunners Mate 2nd Class Travis Waggoner, from Meridian, Idaho, fires .50 caliber machinegun at a “killer tomato” target on the portside troop walkway of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
